The Terra Firma: My Favorite Strap-on in the World

The Terra Firma Harness is my top recommendation for beginners and veterans alike. It’s gorgeous, reliable, and performs very, very well.

I’ve always said that the Terra Firma is my favorite harness of all-time, but I’ve never explained the reasons why in detail until now. My official Terra Firma Review covers all of its features, sexy looks, and excellent design. Pics are included.

Feeldoe and Pegging Question

Would you recommend the Feeldoe Classic for first time pegging? First strapon for her but she has used handheld toys on me. Thanks.

The Feeldoe isn’t an ideal toy for first-time pegging, but it’s doable. I highly recommend using it with a strap-on harness for extra stability.

Rubber Band Bondage Safety

image

Sorry, not about strap-ons but something you reblogged… Is rubber band bondage safe? I know some thinner materials like floss and fishing string is not.

I’ve been doing rubber band bondage since I was a child. I didn’t quite know what BDSM was at the time, but I did know that wrapping rubber bands around my boobs excited me in ways that I knew weren’t “normal”. I don’t think there’s an “official” answer out there regarding the safety of rubber band bondage, but I can tell you that following the guidelines mentioned below have kept my partners and I safe for the 10+ years I’ve been into kink. Simply put, follow the same safety standards that you do for nipple clamps and rope bondage.

  • My rule of thumb is to release the bands after 20 minutes. This isn’t a hard rule—some people insist on shorter times and others can go for double that—but it’s the rule I’ve been following for over a decade and I haven’t had a safety scare yet.
  • Keep scissors nearby in case of an emergency. You want to be able to cut your partner out of bondage immediately if anything goes wrong.
  • Don’t do bondage while drunk, high, or otherwise mentally impaired. Losing track of time, not being able to feel pain, and not being able to respond appropriately if your partner is in trouble are how people end up with serious injuries.
  • Cut away the bands immediately if you notice any swelling.

If you’re extra cautious, go with a wider and thicker rubber bands over the super-thin kind.
